Parenting Tips How to teach your child good listening skills Good listening skills can be developed in children by simply reading to children regularly. Parents can ask their children as they read to them questions about the story being read. Encouraging children to tell them what the story is about after the story has been read is another way to help the child to develop good listening skills. If this process proves too difficult, discuss the story a page at a time, gradually lengthening the number of pages covered.   Tips for Parents Accomplishments are important, but to praise and reward effort is even more important to your child. Effort is the one thing your child can control.   Easy Recipe: Monkey's Banana Pudding   1.) 2 Medium bananas 2.) 1 Package (3.4 oz) Vanilla instant pudding 3.) 12 Small vanilla wafers   1.Mash one banana until smooth. Prepare pudding according to package directions. Chop other banana into small pieces. 2.In six small cups, layer _ cup pudding, 1 Tbs. bananas and 1 crumbled wafer. Divide remaining pudding into cups, top with wafers. Note: Chocolate pudding may also be used.
